"Let's go out and get some Sushi tonight"
It's just not fair...
Every night is Latin Night in South Florida. This was a little sneak preview of what is to come these upcoming months in South America. Here we go....
Olá Brazil.
Sonrisa Peru!
Bueno Ahí Argentina!
And here we have the all mighty Colombian herself, Diana. She took us to this authentic Colombian restuarant, La Moon, where the employees speak Spanish and serve these crazy perros (hot dogs) and hamburguesas.
I ordered the SUPERMOON PERRO: Chorizo, tocineta, huevo de codorniz.
I came back the next day and ordered the Crazymoon Burger: Jamon, huevo, tocineta, mozarella, egg, bacon.
It ain't the Tim & Chris or Chris & Tim burger but hey....
Just another one of those South Beach perfect corners.
Damn alligator bit my hand off!!!

Canada Life - Toronto
First things first.....Gots to hit up the CN tower. Me, Brian, and Nette raced through the city blocks of downtown Toronto to get over here to go for the classic "kill two birds with one stone." That is, make it to the top while the sun was still up, and not have to wait too long to watch the sunset and to catch the view of the city lights as well. That's what I call gangsta.
about 1800 ft. higher and 50 seconds up the elevator later....
We actually saw the first pitch of the ball game looking through the glass floors from the top of the tower: Boston Red Sox vs. Toronto Blue Jays.
Hype level went up and we decided (me and brian, force nette) to go down and watch the game.
Had to pick up that classic Toronto street dog first. After the hotdog vender found out we were out-of-towners going to the game, he hooked it up with free soda for all of us. I'm all about friendly people and tasty eats.
At the ticket booth, we picked up the cheapest tickets cuz we weren't really looking for seats, just wanted to walk around the concourse and watch the game from there. We also find out it was Irish night and the Blue Jays are wearing one of my favorite throwbacks of all time. I am killing birds left and right with this one stone. And of course, I had to pick up one of those small wooden souvenir bats. Just what I needed for my travels. These bats get me everytime (3 careeer: Cubs, Astros, Blue Jays).
After the game, we hit up joe mamas for some drinks and live music. The band played 100% cover songs. Basically 'the hits' which makes pretty much everyone in the house happy. Stick to the classics and you can't go wrong. Even if the lead singer is a white dude singing Jackson 5 tunes walking through the crowd with his cordless mic . Solid.
Here I am on Queen St. West. This is Toronto's totally hip neighborhood, much like San Fran's Haight/Ashbury. You know the formula: trendy bars & cafes, that random contemporary art gallery steez, and funky boutiques showcasing that urban design & fashion.
You know my steez. Always in the market for that unnecessary purchase in the sale section...
Down the street is MUCH MUSIC studio which is their local version of MTV. We didn't stay long enough to catch Pink's interview and live performance but I am diggin' her new "so what" jam.
Teal Boyz
I happened to be in town for the 2nd annual MANIFESTO. This hip-hop festival is a celebration of urban music and art. Local artists blessed the stage for a free afternoon concert. There were also free workshops for: graffiti, drums, bboying.
My afternoon snack: Poutine - french fries with bomb gravy and cheese! Freakin' good eh?
Ate Rennie took us to the Ultimate Brunch at Richtree Market Restaurant. You get to shop around and check out all the different market stations. This is Fresh cooking at its finest. If you like it, just give them your dine-in shopping card to swipe and they'll put it on your tray. But don't get to carried away or you'll get the big surprise bill at the check out stand.
It doesn't get much tastier that this. Bon Appetit!
Casual shopping.
You better know what you want before you enter The Beer Store cuz they got sub-zero degrees status inside.
Wal-Mart Guilt.
